About Coup Of Colon

"When the gut gets corrupted, even the quiet cells must rise."

Coup of Colon is a witty, metaphorical animation that brings human biology to life through a political lens. Set inside the human body, the story follows Prota, an apathetic epithelial cell in the colon, who turns a blind eye to the rise of abnormal polyps—until it's too late. As cancerous cells stage a brutal takeover, draining resources and destroying healthy tissue, Prota must join a rebellion of reluctant cells to resist the growing dictatorship. Through dark humor and vivid storytelling, the film mirrors real-life struggles against authoritarianism, delivering both biological insight and a powerful social message.

Our Games

Polyps : A Silent Threat

Polyps are abnormal growths in the colon that can become cancerous over time. I created this 3D model to reflect a real Stage 2 polyp—designed with a single eye and red tentacles to show how it starts stealing nutrients from nearby cells. The structure resembles a parasitic tower, capturing both its medical reality and symbolic danger.

Lives in Crypt

The tiny cup-like structures called crypts are where Prota lives. He works to protect the colon lining, absorb nutrients, prevent harmful substances, and regenerate cells, sticking to his duties and avoiding conflicts.

Lives in Polyp

The Junta Polyp is a corrupted cell that takes control of the polyp structure in the colon. It represents an authoritarian figure, hijacking the normal cell cycle to expand its power, draining resources from healthy cells, and spreading its influence—similar to how a dictatorship controls systems and silences resistance.

Lives in Crypts, Controlled by the polyp

Clumsy lives in the crypts like Prota, but the Junta Polyp manipulates him, using its power to control his actions. Over time, Clumsy is swayed by the polyp's influence, straying from his duties and unknowingly supporting its growth.
